About

We are a Christian church that loves God, preaches Christ, and is led by the Holy Spirit to love our neighbors. We gather for the inspiration of God through worship, the instruction of His Word through teaching, and the involvement of all through lasting relationships and selfless acts of service.

New Here?

We would love for you to join us on a Sunday morning for our worship service at 10:15am. On Wednesdays during the school year we also offer classes, studies and groups for adults, as well as worship services and age-appropriate programming for kids and students beginning at 6:30pm.
We are located at 6601 North MacArthur Boulevard in Warr Acres.

Adults

As we prepare God's people to discover completeness in Jesus, our adult ministry is ready to pastor to you.

Students

For students in grades 6-12, the student ministry prepares students to discover completeness in Jesus.

Children

From birth to 5th grade, our children's ministry works alongside parents to establish a foundational faith in Christ.

What To Expect

Our Sunday morning services are relaxed and comfortable, and you will feel welcomed as soon as you arrive. Our music is lively and connective, the teaching is Biblically based and relevant to your life and our fellowship is genuine and refreshing. Come early and spend some time visiting with friends!
We have one adult worship service time at 10:15am.
Each Wednesday night during the school year we gather together for teaching and for fellowship. Adults have the opportunity to be involved in classes and Bible studies, and children and students have programming designed just for them. Wednesday nights are casual and fun, so come with your whole family and experience God moving through the fellowship of his people.
Children ages birth through 3 years old have their own programming in the Early Childhood area (just across from the worship center). Kids in grades K-5th have a special gathering called JZONE in the Children’s Ministry Hallway. 6th-12th grade students enjoy relevant, engaging lessons and fellowship in the Student Ministry Center (upstairs above the Children’s Ministry)
Wednesday nights start at 6:30pm.
Community Groups exist so that believers can be of one heart and one mind, engaging in purposeful fellowship where we can, “go deeper with one another so that we can go further for Christ.”
Community Groups meet every other week at the church and various locations around town. Community groups are all about:
Fellowship: engage in a time and place where believers can spur one another on and encourage one another towards authentic relationships that transform us into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ (Act 2:42).
Study: discuss the Bible and/or a Bible based resource (provided by CHCC) as a community for the purpose of spiritual growth transformation (2 Timothy 4:16).
Prayer: know each community member and how they are doing, to partner with them through life’s challenges and triumphs, and to pray consistently with them and for them (James 5:13-16).
We would love to have you join in one of our groups!

What We Believe

God

He is the one true God. Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1 and 26-27 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, John 14:26, I Peter 1:2, II Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus Christ

That He is truly God and truly man, existing for all eternity and having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a life without sin, was crucified on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven where He now reigns as our High Priest and Mediator. (Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5, 8:58, 10:30-38, 12:45, 14:10-30, 17:5,24, Hebrews 1:3, 4:14-15, 7:3, I Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:3-4)

the Holy Spirit

That His ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, indwell, guide, instruct, comfort and empower the believer for godly living and service. We further believe that all Christians have been promised the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Although we cannot dictate the Holy Spirit as to when and where He acts, the promise of His presence may be claimed at the point of conversion (Acts 2:38). The Holy Spirit then gives gifts of ministry to each one for the good of the body (I Corinthians 12:4-7). We do not believe that sign gifts exist to prove someone is saved nor should they be practiced to draw attention to the individual.

The Scriptures

Both Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21, II Timothy 1:13, Psalm 12:6, 119:105 and 160, Proverbs 30:5.)

We Were Created To Be In Fellowship With God Forever

Man fell into sin willfully and is therefore alienated from God and without hope apart from the blood of Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 8:3-6, Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:23, Isaiah 59:1-2.)

We Are Saved By Grace Through Faith In Jesus

Salvation is through the grace of Jesus only and paid for by His blood. (Ephesians 1:7) No amount of work on man’s part can earn it. (Ephesians 2:8,9) People are called to believe and accept Jesus as the only Savior for sin. (Acts 15:7) People are expected to confess belief in Christ. (Matthew 10:32) People confirm that decision in water baptism. (immersion) (Acts 8:35-38) Jesus then instructed to go and make disciples. (Matthew 28:19-20) Baptism was practiced in the Church from its beginning. (Acts 2:38-41)

Satan Is Real

He desires to “kill, steal, and destroy” the Church and that he is ruler over the present world system. (Job 1:6ff, Matthew 4:1, John 10:10, II Corinthians 11:14, II Thessalonians 2:8-9, Hebrews 2:14, Ephesians 6:12, I Peter 5:8, I John 3:8)

Jesus Is The Head Of The Church

Only those who have come to faith through Jesus Christ are a part of that church both locally and universally (Colossians 1:18). We believe that since the Lord is the head of the church, that every local church has the right, under Christ, to govern its own affairs.

Jesus Will Someday Return For His Church

All the dead will be resurrected – the believer to everlasting joy with the Lord – the unbeliever to everlasting punishment. Heaven and Hell are both very real. (II Thessalonians 1:9, II Peter 2:4-9 and 3:7, Jude 13, Revelation 20:15)

God Calls Us To Be Good Caretakers

Stewardship is the giving back to God in areas of money, abilities and time. God is the giver of all good and perfect gifts and therefore the owner of all things before and after they have been given to us. He promises to reward with His blessings those who faithfully give back to Him. His blessings are given in accordance with man’s faithfulness and generosity. (James 1:17, Luke 6:38, Romans 12:8, II Corinthians 9:7, Malachi 3:8-10)
