Baptism is a beautiful word-picture, an expression that we participate in. We enter into the grace and mercy of God, offered to us through Jesus Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. Baptism doesn’t earn God’s grace or mercy, it is how we receive it. It doesn’t force God’s hand, it is our identification with Jesus. We encourage each and every person to make their own choice and their own confession of faith in Jesus Christ. We encourage you to respond to the mercy and grace and make baptism a part of your acts of obedience to God.
